What is the difference between the mySmartControl app account and the web account?

  • The app account is solely for use of the app on your smartphone:
    • A unique email address is required per device/phone to register the app account.
    • It is used only to link the app to your smartphone.
    • Data is automatically transferred to the new device.
    • The app account is separate from the web account.
    • The administrator can:
      • Link systems.
      • Manage locations.
      • Manage users.
      • Manage subscriptions.

 

  • The web-account is only for the mySmartControl portal (www.portal.mysmartcontrol.com):
    • The web account can be registered for free by any user.
    • It is created in consultation with an administrator/installer.
    • The administrator can:
      • Link systems.
      • Manage locations.
      • Manage users. (but no longer create new ones)
      • Manage subscriptions.
